History of the School  

In October 1980 Shree Adinath Jain Swetambar Sangh, Chickpet, Bangalore established Shree Mahaveer Jain Shikshan Sangh to serve the cause of education and started Bhandari Bhabutmal Ummedmal Labdhi Jain Vidyalaya in Shankarapuram, Bangalore. Sri C. B. Bhandari was the main donor. Sri Sanghvi Kundanmal was the Founder President and Sri Jeevraj Chowhan the Founder Secretary. It introduced Nursery, Primary, Middle and High School Sections. English was the medium of instruction and Hindi and Kannada were made compulsory Languages of study. The school was affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi. The curriculum and the text-books prescribed by CBSE and NCERT were followed and students were sent up for the All-India Secondary School Examination. Varied Co-curricular activities, P.T. and Games are regular features. The school has desirable traditions and practices such as Morning Assembly and Prayer, Moral Instruction, House System, Celebrations of National Festivals, Sports Day, Annual Day, Staff Association and Annual Medical Examination of children.

Sri G.K. Nagesha Rao was the first Principal of the School. He retired in 1992 and Mrs. Pushpa Sudarshan took over as Principal. She relinquished her post in 2000. The mantle of leadership passed on to Mrs. Sridevi, a dynamic personality, who has been the Principal since 2000.

The school has now entered the year of its existence. Students are prepared for the All-India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) at the end of class X. There are well qualified, trained and experienced teachers. The School has sent up 31 batches of students for the All-India Secondary School Examination and has produced 100% results continuously every year. It has established itself as a premier educational institution in the heart of the city of Bangalore, with high standards and progressive outlook.
